5.0 out of 5 stars Not your average fantasy book, May 10, 2009Echoes of the Gidat by Eme Savage, isn't your run of the mill fantasy book. It's better. This book brings detail and enjoyable reading as the plots slowly unravels. Hard to put my finger on what the story telling reminded me of but I thought of Philippe Pullman and early Frank Herbert when I tried to identify it.

Very well written, and you barely feel the grasp of the author as she pulls you into the world of Georia. It was a pleasure to read and I think I will have to re-read it to make sure I didn't miss some of the finer details the author incorporated in the pages.Amazon.com
5 out of 5 stars! Religious Fantasy with a deep reverence for the Creator.,

By ERIK D.J. OBRIEN "Author of Kur's Rage, and T... (Halifax, MA USA) - See all my reviews I was pleasantly surprised by what I found within the pages of "Echoes of the Gidat." I would best describe Eme's novel as a work of religious fantasy. Dealing with such bold topics as Faith, Tests of Faith, and a reverence for Creation, she cleverly weaves the day-to-day experiences of growing children into a grand arena of prophecy and legend.
Her characters are bold, raw, and untamed. Filled with unbridled passion, Eme' bravely addresses the turmoil inherent in the youthful exploration of Love. She captures the conflict in the subtle and not so subtle differences between men and women, and finally brings hearts destined for love together.
"Echoes" is a classic tale of Good vs. Evil with a twist, with mysteries that remain until the very end. It is a story that is very much "within the mind," and should be very appealing to anyone with a love of the Creator, his gifts, and his works. It feels like a Christian work, but echoes with Native American truth and the sheltering embrace of the Earth Mother as well.
It is unique fantasy, not what I had expected at all, but pleasantly surprising. Eme's next installment shall be anxiously awaited.
Sincerely, Erik D.J. O'Brien, Author of "Kur's Rage."Amazon.com
